Isn't that, like, animal cruelty?!

The short answer is no. I've been asked this before when someone has seen Moonshoes out working with me, but I'll assure you that it's not cruel to work a dog. Dogs NEED work. They thrive on it, enjoy it, and it brings them closer to you. Service dogs definitely HAVE to love their jobs in order to be a SD, but most dogs that have jobs love what they do! Just look at her body language - alert, happy eyes; relaxed body; wagging tail (not pictured).

I promise this isn't abuse. She'd hate being left home all day.
